Robin Gadsden-Dupree, T/TAS Family & Community Partnerships Specialist, was one of several Tennessee community members selected as Vaccine Ambassadors by the Tennessee Health Care Campaign. In a set of public service announcements released for the launch of the new Vaccine Ambassador Program, Robin talks about her initial vaccine hesitancy, what motivated her to get vaccinated, and the sense of hope and confidence she received afterwards. Dr. Jay Gabbard, Professor of Social Work at WKU, recently was elected Chair of the Board of Directors of Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society, International. Phi Alpha is the only national honor society for undergraduate and graduate social work students.

In conjunction with the American Heart Association, the South-Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is participating in a community outreach program to teach hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to elementary students.
