Symphonic Band


The WKU Symphonic Band is an ensemble made up of 60-80 of the finest student musicians on campus, both major and non-major, that meet during the fall and spring semester to perform traditional and contemporary literature.  The band is under the direction of Director of Bands, Dr. Gary Schallert, and Associate Director of Bands, Dr. Matthew McCurry. The Symphonic Band performs two concerts per semester in Van Meter Hall.

 

 

Membership in the Symphonic Band is by competitive audition only.  Auditions take place before the beginning of each semester.  For more informationa about the audition process, please click below.
